Sheriff Tom Grills attended a digital forensics course

Purdue University trained law enforcement officers from around the state last week in digital forensics.  The three day course, Digital Evidence Triage, prepares officers to investigate data found on computers, cell phones, blackberries, and social networking sites.  People think deleting files will destroy the evidence but the officers attending learned how to capture and prepare evidence so it will be admissible in court.
