Unapproved Commissioner's Meeting Minutes for 11/08/04
November 8, 2004
The Ripley County Board of Commissioners met on Monday, November 8th, 2004 in the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, Indiana.
John Little, Commissioner President called the meeting to order promptly at 8:00AM with Commissioners Chuck Folz & Robert Reiners in attendance.
Mary Ann McCoy, Auditor of Ripley County acted as secretary for the Board of Commissioners.
Neil Comer, Attorney was present to advise the Board on legal matters.
The Board signed the payroll check and claim register for November 8th, 2004.
Commissioner Folz made the motion to approve the minutes of October 25th, 2004 seconded by Commissioner Reiners. Motion approved unanimously.
James Lovins, Ripley County Dog Warden approached the commissioners with concerns of monies that are owed. Commissioners suggested using the small claims court for collections.
Commissioner Folz made the motion to approve the Ordinance To Amend The Unified Zoning Ordinance Of Ripley County, Indiana, as Amended: Part of the N.W. ¼ Section 18, Township 8 North, Range 13 East. Franklin Twp. (19.730 Acres) from existing A-1 Districts to A-2 seconded by Commissioner Reiners. Motion approved unanimously.
Kelly Vollet, Technology Director updated the commissioners with information about the Health Insurance and that the fall tax bills will be printed on the old system.
Shawna Bushhorn, Ripley County Assessor and the Nexus Group presented the Commissioners with the new Annual Trending Rule for Ripley County.
Steve Barth, Barth & Associates updated the commissioners on the Federal Aid Projects for Ripley County.
Commissioner Reiners made the motion to roll the Paul Rohe Co. Inc. 2004 contract for 16,000 Tons more or less in place Ready Mix Asphalt seconded Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
Pat Thomas, EHS, PHC Administrator/Ripley County Tobacco Prevention & Cessation Program asked for permission to observe on November 18th the “The Great American Smoke Out”. Commissioner Reiners made the motion to set November 18, 2004 as Proclamation Day for ‘The Great American Smoke Out’ and permission to use the courthouse lobby and the courthouse lawn for the citizens/employees of Ripley County to observe that day seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
Pat Thomas, Ripley County Health Department/Environmental Division request of a fee increase for Environmental Permits and Services to commensurate with the Fees of the Indiana State Department was tabled to the next commissioner meeting.
Scott Melling, EMS Director updated the commissioners on the unit billing for the county.
