Commissioners meeting opened promptly at 7:00AM on Monday, September 21st, 2009 at the Ripley County Highway Department, Osgood, Indiana.

Commissioner Robert Reiners, Gary Stutler and Mark Busching were all in attendance for the Commissioners meeting.

Commissioner Reiners advised that the Courthouse damages on the clock had been turn into FEMA.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to recess to the Ripley County Annex seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to reconvene the Commissioner meeting at the Ripley County Annex seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioners opened the recessed meeting from the Ripley County Highway Garage promptly at 8:00AM, Monday, September 21^st, 2009 at the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, Indiana.

Commissioner Robert Reiners, Mark Busching and Gary Stutler were all in attendance.

Auditor McCoy was present for the meeting at the Ripley County Annex and Neil Comer was present to answer legal questions.

Commissioners approved and signed the Commissioners minutes from the meeting on September 4^th, 2009.

John Lohrum, Ripley County Maintenance updated the Commissioners on the Courthouse doors and advised that new hardware/rebuild doors $19,900, Fiber Glass doors $31,500 or new doors for $30,000. Commissioners will take this under consideration.

Gary Norman, Economic Development Director updated the Commissioners on possible projects for Ripley County.

Kelly Vollet, Technology Director advised the Commissioners that she is looking at purchasing 70 new computers for the courthouse.

Commissioner Stutler made a motion to appoint Mark Busching to the Grants Committee seconded by Commissioner Reiners. Motion approved by Reiners & Stutler.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to apply to the Rising Sun Community Foundation for a $50,000 grant to purchase 70 new computers seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Earline Copeland, Treasurer Ripley County advised the Commissioners about a new Lllow Daily Cash Program for the Treasurer’s Office at a cost of $1,500 for the program and $744 maintenance fee. Commissioner Busching made a motion to purchase the Daily Cash Book program and the yearly maintenance fee for the Treasurer’s Office seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Earline Copeland, Treasurer Ripley County advised the Commissioners that the next tax sale will be November 3^rd, 2009, 10:00AM and that at the present time 86 properties are on the tax sale.

Julie Brancamp, Ripley County Park and Recreation Director presented bids for Building #10 at the Ripley County Fairgrounds from Burdette Builders- $6,733 and Ammon K. Stoltzfoos, Port Royal Roofing- $7,900. Commissioner Busching made a motion to accept the bid from Burdette Builders for Ripley County Fairgrounds Building #10 at a cost of $6,733 seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Stutler made motion to accept the contract renewal for the preventive maintenance contract agreement at the Ripley County Sheriff Department from Quality Plumbing & Heating from October 2009 thru July 2010 at a cost of $6,804 seconded by Commissioner Busching. Motion approved unanimously. President Reiners signed the contract for the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department.

Commissioner Reiners signed the transfer of funds for $10,227 from trustee deputies to unemployment in the Commissioners budget.
