The Ripley County Commissioners opened their meeting promptly at 7:00AM, Monday, August 10th, 2009 at the Ripley County Highway Department, Osgood, Indiana.

Meeting was called to order promptly at 7:00AM with Robert Reiners, Gary Stutler and Mark Busching in attendance at the Highway Department.

Mary Ann McCoy, Ripley County Auditor was present for the meeting at the Highway Department.

Superintendent Heaton advised the Commissioners that the County Highway Garage paint job is completed.

Commissioner Busching made motion to accept the quote from Jerry Gilpin for the new lettering of the Ripley County Highway Garage seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Superintendent Heaton advised the Commissioners that the cost to run the sewer to the County Highway Department is approximately $5,000 from the Town Of Osgood.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to recess to the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, In. for the rest of the Commissioners meeting seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to reconvene the Commissioners meeting from the Ripley County Highway Department, Monday, August 10th, 2009 at the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, In. promptly at 8:00AM with the Pledge of Allegiance seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Robert Reiners, Gary Stutler and Mark Busching were all in attendance at the Ripley County Annex for the rest of the Commissioners meeting.

Auditor McCoy was present for the meeting at the Ripley County Annex and County Attorney Neil Comer was present to answer legal questions.

John Lohrum, Ripley County Maintenance advised the Commissioners that the clock tower still is leaking and is in need of repair. Commissioners will contact the Town of Versailles again about correcting this problem. Lohrum reported that the Courthouse doors need to be replaced. Commissioner Stutler made a motion to have Lohrum prices new doors for the Courthouse seconded by Commissioner Busching. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to approve the minutes from the July 27^th, 2009 Commissioner meeting seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Kelly Vollet, Technology Director advised the Commissioners that she had nothing to report.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to amend motion to have Jerry Gilpin for lettering the Ripley County Highway Department at a cost of $700 for lettering of the sign at the Ripley County Highway Garage seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion approve the quote of $4,900 for restoration of the Books in the Auditor’s Office by Jeffrey Saxton, Bookbinder, Noblesville, Indiana seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner President Reiners signed the Grant Agreement and Receipt between Ohio County and Ripley County.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to accept E & H bids Option #1 of $64,919.21 and Option #3 of $1,350.00 seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

County Commissioner Stutler and John Lohrum, Courthouse Maintenance will go to the next Town Of Versailles meeting on Thursday, August 13^th at 7:00PM concerning the leak in the clock tower.
