Unapproved Commissioner's Meeting Minutes for July 28, 2008

The Ripley County Commissioners met on Monday, July 28th, 2008 at the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, Indiana.
Commissioner Reiners promptly called the meeting to order at 8:00A.M. All stood for the opening pledge to the flag.
Robert Reiners, Chuck Folz and Lawrence Nickell were in attendance.
Mary Ann McCoy, Ripley County Auditor took minutes for the Commissioners.
Neil Comer, County Attorney, was present to advise the Commissioners on legal matters.
Johnnie Lohrum, Maintenance advised the Commissioners that he had stained the deck at the EMS building.
Earline Copeland, Ripley County Treasurer asked the Board of Finance if she could change the Family and Children checking account from Main source Bank to Friendship State Bank. Commissioner Folz made a motion to change the Family & Children checking account from Main source Bank to Friendship State Bank seconded by Commissioner Nickell. Motion approved unanimously.
Jeff French, Ripley County Surveyor advised the Commissioners that we should wait on sending the GIS mapping to the state until everything is completed in the early 2010. Commissioners signed the Indiana Map Participation advising the state that the GIS Map is currently being created; pending receipt of final grant and that it should be completed by early 2010.
Kelly Vollet, Technology had nothing to report.
Tad Brinson, Area Planning Commission had nothing to report.
Commissioner Nickell made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
Rick Hertel, Ripley County Prosecutor advised the Commissioners that everything is getting replaced in his office that was due to due to the water damage and that the check from the insurance will include the money for the carpet. Commissioners advised Hertel to wait and make sure that the leak in the courthouse clock tower has been corrected before getting new carpet for the Prosecutor’s Office.
Commissioner Folz made a motion to adjourn until the next Ripley County Commissioners Meeting on Monday, August 11, 2008 @ 7:00AM at the Ripley County Highway Garage, Osgood, Indiana seconded by Commissioner Nickell. Motion approved unanimously.
