Unapproved Commissioner's Meeting Minutes for June 30, 2008
June 30, 2008
The Ripley County Commissioners met on Monday, June 30th, 2008 at the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, Indiana.
Commissioner Reiners promptly called the meeting to order at 8:00A.M. All stood for the opening pledge to the flag.
Robert Reiners, Chuck Folz and Lawrence Nickell were in attendance.
Mary Ann McCoy, Ripley County Auditor took minutes for the Commissioners.
Neil Comer, County Attorney, was present to advise the Commissioners on legal matters.
Johnnie Lohrum, Maintenance was not present for the meeting on June 30, 2008.
Tad Brinson, Area Planning Commission advised the Commissioners that he had nothing to report on today.
Becky Mullins, Janitorial report to the Commissioners that she had requested quotes from several vendors and had only received to date one quote to clean the hall and entrance’s floors. Ultra Clean sent a quote for appox. $4,622.31 for the hall and the entrance to several offices. If the hall is the only thing done it is approx. $3,187.80.
Kelly Vollet, Technology reported to the Commissioners that her air conditioner is going out that was purchased from Halcombs and still on warranty. Commissioners advised that they could either take the air conditioner back and have it fixed or replaced with a new one.
Tad Brinson, Area Planning Commission had nothing to report.
Commissioner Folz made a motion to approve the minutes from the June16th Commissioners meeting seconded by Commissioner Nickell. Motion approved unanimously.
Commissioner Folz made a motion to approve the contract with GFC for consulting services seconded by Commissioner Nickell. Motion approve unanimously.
Clinton Hillshorst, Town of Osgood advised the Commissioners of a water problem on his property (Town Of Osgood). Attorney Comer advised that this is not the responsibility of the County. Ripley County doesn’t have any jurisdiction over this problem.
Commissioner Folz made a motion to change the 2 way stop to a 4way stop at 300N & Tanglewood-200 West effective August 1st, 2008 seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously. (County is responsible for the stop sign on the south side and that affects the traffic going north).
Commissioners advised that they will not sign nor approve the Ripley County Economic Development Corporation claim until they show something that they are doing in the County.
Commissioner Nickell made a motion to approve the Ordinance to relocate a portion of a county road (St. Nicholas Drive) seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
Commissioner Nickell made a motion to adjourn until the next Ripley County Commissioners Meeting on Monday, July 14th, 2008 @ 8:00AM in the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, Indiana seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
