The Ripley County Commissioners opened their meeting promptly at 7:00AM, Monday, May 4th, 2009 at the Ripley County Highway Department, Osgood, Indiana.

Meeting was called to order promptly at 7:00AM with Robert Reiners, Gary Stutler and Mark Busching in attendance at the Highway Department.

Mary Ann McCoy, Ripley County Auditor also was present for the meeting at the Highway Department.

The Commissioner’s would like for $10,000 to be transferred from Liability Insurance to Contractual Services to pay for Ron May, Aecon Engineering fro the Stimulus Package Road work.

Pat Darringer advised the Commissioners that the new tractors & mower should be delivered in approximately 60 days from Smith Implement.

Commissioner Stutler made a motion to get quotes to pressure wash and paint the Highway Garage seconded by Commissioner Busching. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to recess to the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, In. for the rest of the Commissioners meeting, seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to reconvene the Commissioners meeting from the Ripley County Highway Department, Monday, May 4th, 2009 at the Ripley County Annex, Versailles, In. promptly at 8:00AM with the Pledge of Allegiance seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Robert Reiners, Gary Stutler and Mark Busching were all in attendance at the Ripley County Annex for the rest of the Commissioners meeting.

Auditor McCoy was present for the meeting at the Ripley County Annex and County Attorney Neil Comer was present to answer legal questions.

John Lohrum, Maintenance advised the Commissioners that the air conditioning is on at the courthouse. Lohrum questioned who he would have to get permission from to trim the new trees around the courthouse. Commissioners suggested getting in touch with Jeff French, Beautification Committee, Versailles, Indiana.

Becky Cairns, Technology Assistant advised the Commissioners that Kelly Vollet, Technology Director is on vacation this week and that she had nothing to report.

Katherine Taul, Tourism Director advised the Commissioners that the Indianapolis Colts will be coming to Versailles, Indiana on June 18^th and will be set up on the north side of the square and in the parking lot from 4-6PM. Commissioners will block off the street at 1:00PM.

Richards advised that the stand up freezer is in bad condition at the Jail. Quote of $1,960 to replace the condensing unit or $3,600 for a new freezer and a quote of $5,986 to replace the Trane split system servicing the hallway and the adjacent rooms of the jail. Commissioner Busching made a motion to replace the condensing unit and pay service call at a cost of $1,960 seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously. Commissioner Busching made a motion to take under advisement the replacement of the Trane split system seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to approve the corrected Commissioner minutes, April 20^th, 2009 seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Busching made a motion to appropriate $18,941 to complete payment to the Ripley County Economic Development for the 12% Inter-Local Agreement seconded by Commissioner Stutler. Motion approved unanimously.

Commissioner Reiners signed the Grant Agreement and Receipt for the 1^st quarter between Ohio County and Ripley County.
