Unapproved Commissioner's Meeting Minutes for 01/16/04
January 16, 2004
The Ripley County Board of Commissioners met on
Tab Brinson,
Area Planning Commission presented the commissioners with a Zoning Ordinance
from John McKittrick. Brinson advised that he is asking that the commissioners
to rezone part of the S.E. ¼ Section 22, Township 7 North, Range 12 east
in Washington Twp. (4.7Acres)
Brinson also
presented the commissioners with rezone from Seevers Inc./Leroy F. & Lila
June Seevers & others part of the N.W. ¼ Section 32, Township 10 North,
Range 13 East.
Herman Strumpf had concerns about the Seevers rezone. Strumpf asked that the commissioners ask the developers to do additional set backs at 101 (4/6 lanes) and conform to the standard for down the road. James Ritter Architect advised that they were not against this but he thought that this is in the next phase.
Commissioner Reiners made a motion to sign/approve the Seevers rezone from I-B to U-D seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
Frank Cumming,
GFC presented the commissioners with an agreement for Capital Asset Inventory.
Cummings advised that his software has been revised pursuant to Government
Accounting Standards Board. GFC would inventory all Infrastructure Capital
Assets (Roads, Bridges, Signs, Building & ETC) in
Commissioner Little, President signed the appointment of Mary McCarty/Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission as Public Hearing Officer for the CDBG Grant Funds/ Indiana Department of Commerce. Commissioner Little, President, signed the Citizen Participation report.
Sandy Howard, Child Abuse Commission asked commissioners for permission to use the courtyard for the 1st&2nd week of April for Candle Light Visual for Child Abuse month. Commissioners agreed.
Earline Copeland, Treasure of Ripley County conducted the Board of Finance meeting with the commissioners and advised the commissioners that she had collected $347,017.86 in bank/interest for the 2003. Copeland presented the commissioners with Investment Register, Bank Balances & rates on CD’s. Commissioner Little, President, signed the Ripley County Investment Policy for 2004.

Reiners made a motion to redo the
Robbie Evans appeared in front of the commission with concerns over the prescription cards/co pay went up on the 3-tier medicine. Tabled to the next meeting.
Commissioner Reiners made the motion to approve the EMS/Holiday pay/24 hour shift same as the other Communication people seconded by Commissioner Folz. Motion approved unanimously.
Commissioner Folz made a motion to pay Llow $1,897.60 for the end of 2003 services seconded by Commissioner Reiners. Motion approved unanimously.
Commissioners signed a letter in support of the Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission for the CDAG Grant.
Commissioners signed a contract with ARAB for Termite & Pest Control at the cost of $2,650.00 for initial service and $382 per year.
Commissioner
Reiners made a motion to pay McCormick-Metsker Agency Inc. $4,000 for over 50
hours of consulting work for
Mary Ann McCoy, Auditor
